Position Details:?

Practice Velocity is currently preparing for growth on our Credentialing Team! This entry level role plays an integral part in keeping urgent cares & immediate cares up and running. The main responsibility for this role is to manage the credentialing database and act as its primary administrator. The ideal candidate will also have healthcare experience and enjoy a fast paced team environment. Be prepared for joining a work hard, play hard kind of team!

So what is Credentialing and what will I be doing?

  • Credentialing?is a process used to evaluate the qualifications and practice history of a doctor. This process includes a review of a doctor's completed education, training, residency, certifications and licenses.

  • Perform quality review of new client/provider applications received.

  • Enter new provider information and scan supporting documentation into the credentialing database.

  • Notify client/providers of missing information and/or applications through notification letters and phone calls.

  • Complete CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare) profiles/updates.

  • Follow up on credentialing applications that have been submitted to various networks.

  • Other duties as assigned and earned as progressing through the role.


  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Concrete organizational skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Talent to multitask.

  • Know-how in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Required Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Experience:

  • Associate?s degree in business.

  • Experience in healthcare.

  • Experience using credentialing software.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
