Billing Specialist

Job DescriptionAs a Billing Specialist, you will work in a pharmacy operation setting at our Patient Financial Service Centers by working to submit patients claims to both commercial and government payers. You will work out of a queue and manage the billing cycle process,processing account reconciliations and adjustments on a weekly basis. You will be ensuring claims are being submitted clean to payers as to not delay the reimbursement process. As a Billing Specialist you will follow up on all claims that are missing supporting documentation or pending authorizations in order to be processed. You will ensure that all dates of service and services rendered match the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and ultimately submit the claims to payers for payment. You will help to determine which claims are un-billable due to missing documentation and perform adjustments on accounts as necessary.Required Qualifications- 1+ years of experience in a professional environmentPreferred Qualifications- Home infusion or durable medical equipment (DME) experience. - Strong attention to detail. - Customer service skills. - Ability to work in a team environment. - Ability to work with a sense of urgency. - Experience medical billing or collections work or experience working with accounts payable (A/P) or accounts receivable (A/R). - Experience working with healthcare reimbursement systems. - Experience working in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word.EducationHigh school diplomaBusiness OverviewCoram CVS/specialty infusion services is a leading national provider of specialty home infusion and specialty pharmacy services. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
